MORE WEEK 9 RECAPS: ACC | Big 12 | Big East | Big Ten | Pac-10

SEC Week 9 Recap
The Crimson Tide was off last week.
Next: vs. LSU.
The host Razorbacks finished 3-0 this season against Sun Belt Conference teams by blasting Florida International 58-10. Darren McFadden rushed for only 61 yards, but scored four times. Arkansas forced three turnovers in the first quarter and seven for the game. All three of FIU's first-quarter turnovers gave Arkansas possession inside FIU's 35. Marcus Monk, who had been sidelined by an injury, caught his first two passes of the season - including one for a TD.
Next: vs. South Carolina.
The Tigers' defense was dominant in a 17-3 victory over visiting Ole Miss. Auburn outgained the Rebels 420-193 and had a nearly 13-minute time-of-possession advantage. Still, the Tigers didn't put the Rebels away until Brandon Cox threw a 34-yard TD pass to Rodgeriqus Smith with 3:15 left. Smith had 111 yards on eight receptions.
Next: vs. Tennessee Tech.
The Gators' defense got run over by Georgia TB Knowshon Moreno, and the Bulldogs came away with a 42-30 victory in Jacksonville, Fla. Moreno ran for 188 yards and three TDs against a UF defense that couldn't stop the run or the pass. Tim Tebow threw for 236 yards and ran for two scores, but he was sacked six times and a sore right shoulder kept him from running as much and as effectively - as usual. It was UF's third loss in four games.
Next: vs. Vanderbilt
Knowshon Moreno rushed for 188 yards and three TDs, and Matthew Stafford tossed three TD passes as the Bulldogs rolled past Florida 42-30 in Jacksonville, Fla. It was Georgia's third victory in the past 18 meetings in the series. Stafford's 53-yarder to Mikey Henderson made it 35-24 early in the fourth quarter and proved to be the game-winner.
Next: vs. Troy
The host Wildcats lost their second in a row since upsetting LSU, falling 31-14 to Mississippi State. UK committed six turnovers. Andre' Woodson was sacked three times and threw three second-half interceptions. Five of the Wildcats turnovers came in the second half. Steve Johnson had two TD receptions.
Next: at Vanderbilt (Nov. 10)
The Tigers were off last week.
Next: at Alabama.
Mississippi State
The Bulldogs' defense ruled the day in a stunning 31-14 upset of host Kentucky. Mississippi State forced six turnovers. It was the third road victory for the Bulldogs, who hadn't won that many in a season since 2000 - the last time they went to a bowl. Wesley Carroll threw two TD passes, and Christian Ducre rushed for 119 yards and a TD.
Next: vs. Alabama (Nov. 10)
Ole Miss
The Rebels remained winless in the SEC, falling 17-3 at Auburn. Ole Miss' offense was stymied all day; the Rebels finished with 193 yards of offense and allowed 420. Joshua Shene's 51-yard field goal on the final play of the first half was all the points Ole Miss could muster.
Next: vs. Northwestern State (La.)
South Carolina
The Gamecocks rallied from a 21-0 halftime deficit to take a late lead, then fell 27-24 in overtime at Tennessee. The Gamecocks committed four turnovers, including two in the final seven minutes of the game. Still, Ryan Succop kicked a 49-yard field goal for a 24-21 lead with 1:24 left before the Vols sent the game into OT. Succop missed a 40-yarder in the first OT that would've sent the game into a second overtime.
Next: at Arkansas.
Freshman K Daniel Lincoln was cool under pressure to give the host Volunteers a 27-24 overtime victory over South Carolina. Lincoln kicked a game-tying 48-yard field goal with 5 second left, then provided the only points in overtime as the Vols recovered after blowing all of a 21-0 halftime lead. UT managed just 92 yards of offense in the second half; the final drive covered 22 yards.
Next: vs. Louisiana-Lafayette
The host Commodores' defense dominated the second half in a 24-13 victory over Miami University. The game was tied at 10 at halftime, but Vandy allowed just 86 total yards in the second half. Starting QB Mackenzi Adams left the game in the third quarter with a chest injury and did not return.
Next: at Florida
