NU Notes: Lee plays Chase Daniel in practice
Operating the scout team offense wasn't how junior college transfer quarterback Zac Lee envisioned his Nebraska career starting, but the 6-foot-2, 210 pound gun slinger out of California has made the most out of his opportunity.
A knee injury kept Lee from participating in spring practice, so ultimately it's made his first season at NU more of a developmental year where he continues to learn the offense and run the scout team in practice.
This week Lee finds himself pretending to be Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel. Of all the quarterbacks Lee has pretended to be in practice, Daniel is probably the one he resembles most.
Like Daniel, Lee possesses great arm strength and mobility, and he also has a similar physical make-up to Daniel.
"I guess I do," Lee said laughing when asked if he resembles Daniel. "That's what the other quarterbacks were joking with me about.
"They joked and said I have the same facial expression has Daniel, but they said he's a little shorter and a little thicker than me."
