Vols, Tide lead for Tennessee OL
MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Riverdale High school offensive guard prospect David Spurlock has emerged as a major Division I-A prospect. The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder, who hails from one of the top high school programs in Middle Tennessee, currently holds three scholarship offers from Southeastern Conference programs and has two favorites.
"I have offers from Tennessee, Alabama (new staff), Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State," Spurlock said. "It's between Tennessee and Alabama right now."
Spurlock recently took in Junior Day events at UT and Bama. There were several highlights on the trip to Knoxville.
"I really liked Tennessee a lot," Spurlock said. "I really liked all the coaches and I got to see the facilities. They are real nice. I got on the field and got to see them scrimmage a little bit. They also get a lot of players to the next level."
