Washington breaks the mold
DALLAS - No matter who you talk to in R.J. Washington's family, it was never a mystery that the Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge defender would be physically gifted.
It started with the story from Washington's mother, Sherri Wright, at the Rivals.com Junior Day at Southern Methodist University about him maturing faster than others as a kid. One could also note his school defensive records that he holds. Simply put, he was always figured to be much more physically gifted than his peers from the beginning.
On top of all that, the 6-foot-3, 245-pound junior Oklahoma commit and his family says he doesn't fit the stereotype of just another football player.
