ORLANDO, Fla. - As he's been doing at the East Meets West All-American Game, inside linebacker Earl Patin is playing the field and waiting for things to develop in his recruiting process.

The 6-foot-1, 228-pound Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab defender says that recruiting is still wide open. Nonetheless, new options have started to open up and a new scholarship offer is in hand from a school quite a ways away.

Patin, as usual, is willing to listen to all newcomers.
