Earlier today the West Virginia Mountaineer coaching staff received it's 17th verbal commitment in the 2013 recruiting cycle when Baltimore (Md.) Dunbar defensive end/linebacker Marvin Gross gave his pledge.

The 6-4 225-pound prospect became the 7th defensive commitment and 2nd along the defensive line. Of course Gross has the ability to play the Buck linebacker position in WVU's 3-4 defense and has told WVSports.com senior writer Keenan Cummings that the staff plans on him starting out as a Buck when he makes it to Morgantown.
